Geometric enhancements are not included, and the work cannot degrade any existing safety or geometric aspects of the roadway facility. This work provides cost effective treatments to an existing roadway system without increasing pavement structural capacity. This DIB is effective as of the date of this memorandum and is to be implemented with the procedures in the Highway Design Manual Index 82.5 "Effective Date for Implementing Revisions to the Design Standards."
